W98 Low Profile Window Handle For Blinds (replaces W31 handle).

W98 Slimline Espag Window Handle For Blinds - How To Fit

Fitting the W98 window handle for blinds is very straightforward, although a little different from most espag window handles. This window handle uses a unique spindle arrangement which allows you to push in and release the spindle very easily. The benefit here is you can purchase a new spindle of a different size if you order the incorrect size (unfortunately a common problem).

When you first receive your handle you will have ordered the spindle length you need. This is received as a separate unit and all you need to do is push the spindle into the base of the handle through the spring clip and into its engaged position. Make sure the arrow on the spindle is pointing into the handle. The spindle will 'wobble' slightly once fitted but is firmly engaged and will pick up the hole in your espag lock for a very firm and exact fit with no movement. Then just fit the handle to the window in its correct open or closed position to get the spindle position correct for the espag lock and tighten down the two screws provided. The screw cover cap slides onto the handle to finish the installation.

Your new handle has a push-button to close/unlock. The key deadlocks the handle if needed and is a one pattern design (if you order 5 handles they will all be the same key).

Push the spindle into the handle through the circlip spring with the spindle arrow pointing into the handle.

To take the spindle out just pull by hand.
