8" Top hung uPVC window hinges (H01) - Technical Information
Please note this hinge is for top hung windows where the hinges are fixed to the sides of the window and the track length is 8 inch long by 18mm outer width.
This 8 inch top hung upvc window hinge is used for a normal double glazed window where the maximum opener weight is 12kg and in general terms is a upvc window with the sizes 200mm - 350mm height and 1200mm (1.2M) width.
The opening angle of the upvc window using the 8 inch top hung hinge is approximately 60 degrees and is achieved via a 4 bar construction riveted to a sliding plastic block with an integral brass screw for friction stay adjustment. This top hung upvc friction hinge is made in the UK (stamped as such) and is made from ferritic stainless steel.
Available in two size options. 13mm is more popular but check before replacing that your hinges have a 'dip' or a 'kink' in the arm of the opening window arm as this would demonstrate a 17mm size. If the arm is flat it will be a 13mm size. See picture below showing a 17mm size.

Sizes from the cap end: Hole - 15mm | Slot - 30mm | Hole - 162.5mm | Slot - 199.5mm

Sizes from the corner end: Slot - 36mm | Hole – 57mm | Slot - 159mm
