How to Replace a uPVC Window Handle

The most common type of window handles found on a upvc window are espag window handles. These are basically handles that work with an espag multi-point locking mechanism. The way in which they work is quite simple. A 7mm spindle protruding from the back of the handle inserts into a gearbox inside the window. That gearbox controls the movement of the locking points around your window when turning the handle.
