  • Tools needed are a drill with 10mm drill bit, mallet, hacksaw and pencil.

More information about Sash Window Screw Locks

Used on timber sash windows only. This 2 part construction relies on the hardened steel pins to resist the forced opening of the window.

Fitting Guidance:

Inner frame must be a minimum of 30mm thickness.

Close both windows fully and drill a hole using a 10mm drill bit right through the inner frame and to a depth of 19mm into the outer frame. Make sure you do not drill right through the outer frame. Using a mallet carefully tap the large barrel into the inner frame. Then tap the shorter barrel into the outer frame. Close the windows and then insert the bolt through the barrel of the inner frame. Screw tight with the key provided. Ensure the square end of the bolt is fully recessed below the line of the window surface. The bolt may be too long to do this and in this case use a hacksaw and cut down the rod as necessary.
