Price Value QualityReview by PJW Guildford(Posted on 22/08/2018)Excellent products, price, service & delivery of 3-off H01 - 10" Top-Hung uPVC window hingesCan't recommend this company more highly. Had to replace three sets of failed hinges installed in 2004 in first-floor half-lights. Given their location & awkwardness to get at, priority was exact match with existing screw holes; matching outer width, quality & price were also key factors. ALL BOXES TICKED. Website is excellent; easy to navigate & very helpful. Installation needed two pairs of hands because of locations & risk of dropping windows from the first floor! Otherwise job went very smoothly. Spacers supplied with the hinges fitted perfectly to convert from the 13mm stack height supplied to the 17mm replaced. I would high recommend also purchasing a set of repair screws. I planned to reuse the screws removed; this worked in the majority of cases, but of the total of 36, maybe three or four had stripped threads in the uPVC & needed the repair screws; these worked very well. You don't want to be caught in the situation with insufficient screws that work. Screw length might also be an issue. The problem is that you don't know in advance if you've got 13mm or 17mm stack height hinges, you're not sure if the screw length is adequate if you have to fit the spacers & the amount of thread available in the existing screws lessens. I used the 16mm length repair screws & all seemed OK. There may be other situations where this is not the case & 22mm length would be necessary. Anyway, alls well & the three half-lights are functioning as new.
