Helpful Notes:
These H04 restrictor hinges are replacements for most uPVC window hinges and are easy to install.
Each of the pictures opposite relate to a different length of hinge and some are for side hung windows and most are for top hung windows. Side Hung windows only have a restrictor at the bottom of the window and top hung windows have one either side.
To replace your existing window hinges follow these simple steps:
STEP 1: Check the width of the hinge track (18mm for the H04).
STEP 2: Check the length of the hinge track (you can use slightly longer hinges as long as they fit inside the window).
STEP 3: Confirm the orientation of the window (side hung or top hung). A top hung hinge is fitted to the sides of the window (handle at the bottom) and a side hung hinge is fitted to the top and bottom of the window(handle to the side). In the case of side hung you will need to select the handing: CLICK HERE!
STEP 4: Click on the respective picture opposite for more details and to order.

The first fixing hole from the corner of the frame and the opener should always be in the same position. If the other holes don't line up you can easily re-position them once the first hole is fixed.
Your existing side hung hinges could also be replaced with fire-escape hinges such as the H03 and H05 uPVC window hinges. These open the window more fully and help to achieve the maximum opening space to meet fire regulations on windows classified as fire-escape.
