More on Window Vents ...

So what is a trickle ventilator and what is trickle ventilation? It's just a means to pass fresh air from the outside to the inside. A calculated size of slot is cut into and through the window frame and these are finished off with a canopy or vent housing. These days building regulations require window ventilators as standard for new homes and even some old homes requiring new windows. Your window manufacturer will guide you through this.

The window vents on display (V2000, V4000, V4000SLIM, V5000) are common replacement sizes for most UK window vents found on a double glazed window (like a uPVC window) and all are screw fixed making it easier to fit them.

Not forgetting the Window Canopies on the outside...

A lot of people don't bother replacing these items as they are outside and are difficult to access and that's why we sell them separately. If you do have to replace them it is usually down to the window cleaner (nothing against window cleaners!) propping their ladders against them or they come detached in some way.

The window vent canopies are a simple construction and all have an integrated moulded mesh design to help with insects and such like. In the same way you replaced the window vent you can also replace the canopy. In this case you can change the colour and mix and match the exterior canopy to the interior vent depending on your decor. These really are very simple items to buy!
