Helpful Notes:
These restrictors are ideal for uPVC windows and most double glazed windows where friction hinges are used (not suitable for butt hinged timber windows).
Their concealed nature (sit inline with the hinges between the frames) are perfect for keeping the aesthetics of the window.
Confused? A little more help about each restrictor...
R01 - window opens to a pre-determined gap and no further until you release the spring loaded arm with your finger. When you close the window the restrictor will re-engage itself.
R02 - Same as the R01 only two fingers are needed to move the green tabs outwards. When the window closes the arm re-engages.
R03 - There is no means to release this restrictor unless a screw driver is used so the window opens to a pre-determined gap and closes as normal.
R04 - Same as the R01 except there is a key needed to unlock the arm.
R06 - Use on tilt-in windows to hold the window in an open position as required. Stops blow back of the window and rattle when internal doors slam etc.
R08 - A long arm version of the R01. Generally gives a little more ventilation gap.
The hinges shown have in-built restrictors and hold the window open at a pre-determined gap.
