Frame-Guard window locks are perfect for 'shutting up shop' and a great visual deterrent! They give much greater security and are on their own when it comes to providing immediate security after a break in where locks have been damaged on windows or doors. These locks also have a push-button, so to open, even without the key, you need to depress the button. They are typically used on uPVC windows or uPVC doors.

You can also purchase special fixings for cavities and this will give even greater strength to the window locks as the fixing expands into the cavity. The window lock fixings are shown here:

A lot of our customers use these upvc window locks on doors too as they provide a solid closure to a door where the lock has broken and an immediate remedy is not possible. Frame-guard upvc window locks come with a series of adjusters that allow you to close the window or door just as you would if the handle or lock was used. The adjusters screw into the underside of the arm and when adjusted correctly will pull the window or door in tight.
